On Norstat Voices, terms work on two levels: platform documents, which apply to all users, and community-specific documents, created by administrators.

Platform terms
The Norstat Voices Privacy Policy and Terms of use are standard and cannot be edited by community administrators.
On their first access, participants see the Platform agreement step and must read and accept both documents to continue. If they decline, they cannot use the platform.

See the participant step-by-step in First Access - Participants.
Community terms
To require rules or commitments specific to a community, such as community guidelines or a study participation agreement, use Community terms acceptance, in Settings > Privacy.

There, administrators create the documents, can start from ready-made templates and decide when to require acceptance. Learn how in Community terms acceptance.
Acceptance records
Term acceptances and refusals are recorded in the Audit card on the Privacy page, split into Platform and Community. Records are permanent and can be viewed and exported.
