Set up

To create tasks, you need Administrator or Moderator access. Tasks are created inside an activity; if you don’t have one yet, see Create an activity.

If the activity is in progress, its content is read-only. Pause the activity to edit its tasks.

1. In the activity list, open the activity you want and click “Add task”.

2. In the “Task type” window, select “Video” and click “Advance”.

3. At the top of the task, check the code and give the task a name. The code is generated automatically (T1, T2, T3...) and can be changed. It identifies the question in reports and in the database.

4. Under Statement, write the question and instructions in the Description field. Use the toolbar to format the text or insert emojis, images and videos. Under “Add attachments”, you can include supporting files.

5. Under Settings, the task is ready to receive videos. Turn on “Captions” so the participant can write a caption for each uploaded file. Optionally, fill in the “Comment statement” to ask the participant for an extra comment, and turn on “Required comment” to make it mandatory.

6. Click “Preview” to see the task as a participant, then click “Save”.

How participants see this task

The participant sees the statement, the minimum and maximum number of answers and the upload area, where they can click to choose files or drag and drop them. The accepted formats are shown just below, with a 2 GB limit per file.

On mobile phones, the task is shown in a single column:

Answers

Answers appear in the “Answers” tab when viewing the activity, where each file can be opened, commented on and marked as “Resolved”.
